Bowel Clear by Caruso's Natural Health contains calendula, which is traditionally used in Chinese herbal medicine. Calendula has been used for a variety of purposes, for hair cosmetics to food dye. However, this herb, referred to as the “poor man’s saffron”, later became a staple of Indian Ayurvedic medicine due to its believed ability to cool the energy. It is also used in traditional North American herbal medicine, where it is often used to combat stomach issues.

This Bowel Clear formula assists in the treatment of flatulence and in the maintenance of healthy digestive function. It also may be able to aid in relieving of bloating, constipation, and sluggish bowel. Bowel Clear by Caruso's Natural Health could also be used as a laxative to aid in easier defecation thanks to the presence of cascara in the formula. This last trait makes this formula suitable for those with haemorrhoids.
