Enjoy in guilt-free bliss with this with this easy vegan chocolate recipe. Take a bite of this soul food and indulge in this perfect solution to the afternoon sweet tooth.
Raw cacao is the ultimate 'bliss' food - used in Mayan sacred ceremonies, it was known as Theobroma, the ‘Food of the Gods’, due to its theobromine content. Theobromine will give you energy, boost your mood and enhance blood flow, and it's complemented by the divine anandamide (‘the bliss chemical’), serotonin, dopamine, and phenylethylamine (‘the love molecule’). Talk about a heart opener! Cacao is super nutrient-dense too - containing high levels of magnesium, iron, copper, manganese, potassium, zinc, and even some vitamin b12, which is extra important for those on a plant-based diet.
Cacao butter gives you a source of healthy fats, polyphenols and antioxidants.
