Delicious high protein, low-calorie protein oats made with oats, protein powder and mixed berries. These protein oats are great to keep you fuller for longer, provide a sustained energy release and are packed with soluble fibre (the fibre needed to get things moving). You can utilise toppings such as fruit, granola and yoghurt for additional flavour.Â

1/3 Cup Oats
1 Cup Mixed Berries
1/2 Serving Chocolate Protein Powder
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey
1/3 Cup Unsweetened milk + 1/3 cup water (add more liquid if you like runnier oats like me)
1 Tbsp Pepitas (Optional)
Yoghurt (Optional)
Muesli (Optional) - *Note: Optional ingredients are not included in the macronutrients listed
STEP 1
Add oats, milk and water into a bowl and put in the microwave for 2 minutes (it depends on microwaves so keep an eye on them, once they start bubbling they are ready)
STEP 2
Remove from microwave and pour in protein powder, stirring the protein powder in until all clumps are removed. You may need to add more liquid at this step depending on the consistency you like your oats
STEP 3
Add mixed berries and maple syrup plus any additional toppings you desire
STEP 4
