By now, we've all heard of 'TURMERIC'… the good ol' "golden spice" often used in Curry. BUT did you know the potent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties in turmeric may help with depression and arthritis?!?
The key compounds in turmeric are called curcuminoids. We often know these as polyphenols, which have potent anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties
You're probably wondering how much you need to see the effects though? Well, 1 teaspoon of fresh turmeric contains an average of 200mg of curcumin. Recent studies have indicated we need 500-1000mg per day to see its true effects.

Unfortunately though, curcumin is poorly absorbed in the bloodstream. So, this is where pepper comes in!
Pepper contains a compound known as piperine, which helps to enhance the absorption of curcumin by 2000%! Crazy huh! Most of us use pepper daily, without realising the health benefits! It can be used for nausea, headaches and digestion.
So what else this power combo of turmeric and black pepper might help with?
So basically, add in 2-3 tablespoons of turmeric and black pepper daily to see some crazy help improvements!
