Questions About Jack3d Answered
Posted on August 15th, 2011
USP Labs Jack3d is consistently talked up among bodybuilders. It’s one of those uncommon supps that works well for almost every person that takes it, giving clean, non-jittery energy for a workout that seems as if it comes direct from a great night’s sleep, a big healthy breakfast and lungful of fresh air. So it is unsurprising that there are also plenty of people out there with questions about Jack3d – today we answer some of the ones we hear most frequently.
Is it safe to take Jack3d if I have a heart murmur?
Jack3d contains caffeine, which often creates ectopic heartbeats even in healthy people. For somebody with a heart murmur, the caffeine will interfere with an already less-than-optimal heartbeat – it would be better to use a pre-workout supplement without caffeine.
Should I take extra creatine while I’m using Jack3d?
Jack3d has approximately 2 grams of creatine monohydrate in it already. If you’re creatine loading, you should take around 18g of creatine instead of 20g, and if you’re maintaining, you should take around 3g instead of 5g on the days that you use Jack3d.
Is Jack3d gluten-free?
It certainly is. This has been confirned directly for us by a USP Labs representative.
How long do I have to wait after having breakfast to take my Jack3d and go work out?
It will take around 45 minutes to an hour for your stomach to empty and the digestive process to complete enough to work out optimally. Waiting for this long will free up blood to supply your skeletal muscles instead of your digestive tract. So, if you want to workout out an hour after you’ve finished a meal, take your Jack3d 30 minutes after you finish.
Does Jack3d contain banned substances?
This myth began because Jack3d is simply an effective supplement – people feel there must be a catch. It doesn’t contain substances which are banned on a widespread basis or by the AIS – however you should always check with individual sporting federations for their proprietary lists.
How long will Jack3d stay in my system?
Since the great likelihood is that Jack3d is not a banned substance in your sporting code, there shouldn’t really be any concern over this! Nonetheless, Jack3d should stay in your system for about 3 days.
Should I cycle Jack3d?
Yes, you should. USP Labs recommends an 8 week on, 4 week off cycle for Jack3d.
Good luck! Feel free to post your questions directly to us via the Contact link, or on our Facebook page.

3 More Ways to Stack Your Jack3d
Posted on August 11th, 2011
Jack3d is one of the most highly regarded bodybuilding supplements. Both the staff at Nutrition Warehouse and plenty of our dedicated bodybuilding customers have been experimenting with different ways to combine this ultra-flexible bodybuilding supplement into an overall stack. Today we check out three more popular ways to use Jack3d!
Official Stack for Cutting
If you’re looking for a bit more definition, Jack3d is still perfect for including in your stack. Go the total USP Labs experience again, with a program of:
- Workout days: 2 capsules of Recreate first thing in the morning; Jack3d up to 30 minutes before your workout and ½ a dose of Modern BCAA just before you start lifting; the rest of your Modern BCAA plus creatine monohydrate and whey protein isolate after the workout; another dose of Recreate just before your dinner.
- Non-workout days: Leave Jack3d out of your stack, but keep taking your twice-daily dose of Recreate and a single dose of Modern BCAA.
Jack3d and Nitrix
Nitrix by BSN Body Science is a nitric oxide supp which is well regarded. If you don’t seem to react to the degree that others do when on Jack3d, try halving your dose of Nitrix and halving your dose of Jack3d, taking both prior to your workout.
Maintenance Stack for Jack3d
If you’re just looking to keep up your current form, Jack3d can still be a cyclic part of your routine. You can take:
- Morning: Multivitamins and fish oil
- Pre-workout: Jack3d
- Post workout: Creatine monohydrate, whey or soy protein plus glutamine to help it all come together.
The important thing to remember about Jack3d is that it will work perfectly with any other non-stimulant bodybuilding supplements, but should be taken cautiously with stimulant-containing supps. If you are unsure, all it takes is a quick message via email to Nutrition Warehouse, or a message posted on our Facebook fan page wall for fast answers!

3 Ways to Stack Your Jack3d
Posted on August 11th, 2011
USP Labs Jack3d is well known as one of the most effective and easy to drink pre-workouts around. Part of its popularity is in its versatility – Jack3d fits in with just about anything you care to put it with. As far as bodybuilding supplements go, it’s the life of the party! Today we check out who Jack3d gets along with best, and how you can bring out different aspects of his ‘personality’ by stacking with different supplements.
The Total USP Labs Stack
This stack is designed for bulking, and comes direct from the manufacturer. We’d hope they know their products best, and how they should be put together for max results! They call it the Asteroid stack, and it involves:
- Weeks 1 – 2: 20 minutes before breakfast you’ll take 1 capsule of Anabolic Pump; 3 capsules of Prime with breakfast; 2 capsules of Powerfull plus a dose of Jack3d pre-workout; 3 capsules of Prime with lunch; 1 capsule of Anabolic Pump before dinner; 3 capsules of Prime with dinner; 2 capsules of PowerFULL 20 minutes before bed.
- Weeks 3-6: Reduce your Prime dosage to 2 capsules with meals; up your PowerFULL dosage to 3 capsules pre-workout, and take your Anabolic Pump with lunch as well as breakfast and dinner – the rest stays the same, including your Jack3d pre-workout.
- Weeks 7-8: Up your Prime to 3 capsules 3 times a day – the rest stays the same
- Weeks 9-12: Reduce your Prime to 2 capsules again with meals – the rest stays the same.
Jack3d and Recreate
Recreate is another USP Labs product, so there is little overlap with Jack3d. This stack is for cutting, not bulking – Recreate is a thermogenic fat burner sometimes taken as a pre-workout, but it can also be used a pre-meal supplement. It may be simple to take all your supps at once, and to use Recreate as a pre-workout – however, you need to remember to take another dose at the opposite end of the day also!
Jack3d and Creatine Monohydrate
Jack3d will work well with your creatine mono at all stages of the loading cycle. Give BSC Body Science’s Creatine monohydrate a try with Jack3d – you’ll take the creatine according to a loading cycle and usually as a post workout. Jack3d will still be used as a pre-workout.
As a side note, we don’t recommend stacking Jack3d with Oxy Elite Pro, and USP Labs themselves have recently changed their recommendations to reflect this also. Oxy Elite Pro is a strong stimulant, so adding Jack3d to the mix may well leave you panting in a corner rather than ruling the rack.
